Setting the Record Straight with Jeff Eichen on "A Cup of Joe"

Free the non violent Prisoners, Free the Plant Free the planet!!! The mantra of Jeff Eichen. "I’m making this movie to set the record straight. That nobody should be in prison for a plant and that the Global Prison system needs reform.

Three years ago on my birthday, I was talking to Sharon Whitson the executive producer of Seattle’s HempFest and Sharon told me she was hosting two lifers. I paused and then asked her, what is a lifer? Sharon’s answer to me was that it is a person in jail for life without parole for the outdated prison sentence program for 3 strikes and the War On Drugs in the United States of AMERICA. The land of the home and the free/  Liberty and justice for all/ E Cannabis Unum. As tears began to rush down my cheek, I spoke out that on this day I will dedicate my life to filming and telling the story of these remarkable humans who are sacrificing their freedom for their beliefs in marijuana. And I was not a filmmaker before embarking on this journey. Now three years later Lifers my 1st in the Series of 6 Documentaries is ready to get this party started. We intend to end probation, through Film."
