Di and Pat will be talking about Pat’s journey with alopecia (an autoimmune condition that results in hair loss). Pat's trigger was extreme stress from a crisis of conscience following the discovery of her daughter's sexual abuse within the closed walls of the Jehovah's Witness religion. 

Pat shares her story as an individual, a woman with a story to share.  Having alopecia was a defining moment for her, losing her hair was a trigger for facing her life differently.  Discovering her daughter's abuse,  the control and wanting to push it under the carpet attitude from the JW's  left her with a crisis of conscience.  After moving to another State Pat took control of her life, she wanted to make a difference. She went back to school, completed a University degree and joined Toastmasters. This gave her a different focus, she met different people many of whom had lived through and survived difficult situations. Today she is one amazing woman.
