Who Do You Say That I Am? Part 8
The Answer- Jesus-The Intercessor
You are invited to join us this week as we continue on the journey to know Christ .We are studying Christ, which is called Christology. Christology is the study of, the nature, and purpose of Christ. Our goal is to allow the Holy Spirit of God to develop Christ nature and purpose in us.
In this series we are studying Christ and His role as our Intercessor. For our purposes the definition of intercession, is the following: “petitions, to urge, and to come between on behalf of others,” this definition is taken from the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia.
Intercession is prayer on behalf of another which comes from the heart. In the Old Testament Intercession was the duty of the Priest. The job of the Priest was too interceded on behalf of the people. Today we have Jesus who is our High Priest who intercedes for us out of love and sympathy.
Jesus is interceding for you and me today. Join us as we learn more about Jesus Christ the Intercessor.
