Crystal Massenburg is a highly accomplished professional in the field of sports administration and education. She holds a B.A. in Exercise and Sport Science, specializing in Sports Administration, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Athletic Administration from Ohio University.

Crystal currently serves as Head Athletic Director at South Garner High School in Garner, NC. She oversees the athletic department, coordinating sporting events, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations. She is one of two females, out of the 25 high school athletic directors in Wake County. 

Prior to South Garner High, Crystal was Head Athletic Director at Southern School of Energy and Sustainability in Durham, NC and the assistant county director for Durham Public Schools. Her multifaceted role involved managing the athletic programs, fostering student-athlete development, and coordinating events and tournaments.

Crystal is a Certified Master Athletic Administrator through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. She also received the Athletic Directors of Excellence award in 2022 through the North Carolina Athletic Directors Association. Crystal also serves on the NCADA teaching faculty and CAA testing exam committee.
