For this special edition on Thursday 4 to 5PM EDT, Tim and I are live from the annual National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) conference in Seattle, WA. Actually, before the NCSS conference, there is a meeting primarily of social studies education faculty and graduate students, forming the College and University Faculty Assembly (CUFA). We are doing a live broadcast for our colleagues as our presentation.

For those of you able to join us in person, you can find us at 1PM PDT in WSCC Room 204.

For this hour-long episode, we'll be primarily discussing how we can get our colleagues and peers more involved with activism. Social studies advocates claim to be about democracy and social justice. There is a tremendous need here for an all hands on deck approach to defend our public schools from corporate reform. So, we need their help in this. Is it time to put up or shut up? Out of the journals and into the streets, so to speak.

We're also going to be having some fun, some light hearted and self-deprecating conversation about our work in higher education. Please join us. But as always, you can download the show for free anytime from our main page.
