Cassandra’s Gospel music career began when she was featured as soloist with the DFW Mass Choir.  She recorded three albums with DFW Mass where she met Kirk Franklin and later became one of the original members of Kirk Franklin and The Family.  Her lead vocals on the hit song “Silver and Gold from The Family’s debut recording earned her national acclaim.  In 1997, she teamed up with Ben Tankard to form The Tribe of Benjamin.  Featured as soloist on tracks “In The Spirit” and “Living for You”, from the Tribe’s debut recording, Cassandra took on Contemporary Gospel with glowing success. She has shared the stage with a plethora of Gospel & Christian artists including Dr. Bobby Jones, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Tramain Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, The Winans, David & Nicole Binion, Mary Alessi, Donnie McClurkin and more.

While completing her college education and several years after, she sang background for major recording artists such as Gladys Knight, Pattie Labelle, Anita Baker, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Barry Manilow, and many more.

She is the owner of Face the Music Vocal Coaching in McKinney, TX.  She truly embodies the term “Renaissance Woman”.  She is founder and owner of Crossroads, a music outreach to terminally ill hospital patients. She owns and operates Food For Thought Catering, and in 2001, her dedication to the empowerment of women led her to establish Journeys for Women, a Christian Women’s Social Network. Her chief desire is to lovingly touch the lives of others as we are commanded in John 13:34!
