Discovering Your Truth Through Art

Special Guest Mary Waters has been into art for as long as she can remember. Looking back, she remembers the day, so clearly, that she drew a picture of Charlie Brown on the pitchers mound from a tin lunch box. This drawing was different, because for the first time, it looked so much like the image it was drawn from, and not just scribbles and shapes. This was the day that Mary found a hidden talent, a passion for art was created.

Throughout the years Mary took many different art classes from pencil drawing, stamp creating, and chalks to molding with clay, watercolors, and finally oils. Mary found herself lost in the magical world of oils, and it didn’t take long for oils to become the passion of her artistic abilities.

She has painted many things from landscapes and flowers to animals and people. She has explored creating real life art and abstracts. However, in the last few years she has learned more from her art then she ever imagined possible. She has learned to trust in the blank canvas and the brush she holds at the time. Trusting the art for what it is already, and not what she has planned for it. She has learned to allow the space for creation to take place, for what the art is to become, it already is. Just as life already is, just as any individual already is. The greatness exists already and it is about allowing and trusting it all to become, just as it should.
