In 1958, Jock McNeill  joined Screen Actor’s Guild and did many network commercials as well as being a featured player on television and in motion pictures. He also had a recording contract and met with some success. He actually recorded the first two tunes that a very young 15-year old Marvin Hamlisch ever had released. In his early 20’s he tended bar at the original Friday’s restaurant in New York City on 63rd and 1st Ave. He was screen tested and came very close to a running part in the TV series “Gunsmoke”. It’s a wonderful story…ask him about it! But over the years, he made much more money as a bartender than he ever made as an actor.

Jock has written several screen plays and a novelty book, but had always wanted to write a novel. 18 years ago, he and his wife Diane moved from Los Angeles, CA, to Sun City, Arizona.

After being in Sun City for awhile, he conceived “The Sun City Cannabis Club.” The work was going slowly, so he hired collaborator Paul Cilwa to help bring his characters and plot to life. He then surrounded himself with the talents of several brilliant women whose talents are reflected in the finished book.  Only in America can an actor/bartender whose crafts took him from New York City to Beverly Hills bring an idea for a novel to fruition by self-publishing.

Welcome to a page turning thriller that will keep you guessing right up to the last page! Hear the author live on Cannabis Times Radio this Wed., Sept.19 @ 7:30 Pacific Time. No one does it better then Cannabis Times.
