September 15 marks the fifth anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers. George Gero a veteran in investment and commodities markets with over 50 years of experience joins Miguel Perez-Santalla, Vice President of BullionVault  to discuss this event and how it was a catalyst for new activity in the gold and silver markets. George is a distinguished member of RBC Wealth Management’s Chairman’s Council, and currently Senior Vice President.
George first served on the board of the NYMEX Exchange in 1976 and has been a member of the COMEX Division since 1976, the American Stock Exchange since 1995, ICE Futures U.S. (formerly known as the Board of Trade of the City of New York or NYBOT) since 1984, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange since 2003, and NYMEX Exchange since 1966. He served on various committees including bylaws, compliance, and finance committees. George was the chairman of the Commodity Floor Brokers and Traders Association and is currently the member of Executive Committee of the International Precious Metals Institute. George was a senior member on the ICE and NYMEX Exchanges. He previously served as a director of the New York Futures Exchange, the Commodity Clearing Corporation, and FINEX
