Were thrilled to have the incredible Dr. Sherman C. Urquhart live on Brown Suga Radio. Dr. Urquhart is the founder and owner of Urquhart Solutions LLC, where his vision is to work with individuals and companies to help plan out measurable steps in achieving new goals and establish new standards of excellence. He is a certified life coach, scholar, international speaker, and humanitarian.

He is the author of the award-winning, best-selling memoir of encouragement, I’m Not There Anymore. Sherman then published his second book, You Are That One Thing, a compelling workbook of affirmations to help people unlock their maximum power. He is a Virginia native and has served as an educator and mentor for well over a decade. Sherman is the host of the popular podcast The Synopsis where he discusses events along the political, cultural and lifestyle spectrum with expert guests and clear insight.

After battling and defeating the storms of addiction, incarceration, depression and constant failure, Sherman learned how to navigate the road of destiny and became a master of self. Sherman obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia State University. He holds a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. Sherman is also a Doctoral graduate in Educational Leadership. Sherman serves as a mentor to young people, and he enjoys opportunities to share his story of tragedy and triumph. Sherman enjoys spending time with his children, learning Spanish, and he holds a special love for music, acting, nature and astronomy.
