Doctor Dave and Doctor Sharon Oester started ghost hunting shortly after meeting each other in 1990. They later moved into a haunted house along the Oregon coast which inspired them to write their first book, "Twilight Visitors."  In 1996 they started "The International Ghost Hunter Society" to provide information to those interested in the existence of life after death. Both David and Sharon are the authors of 27 books that deal with the scientific approach to prove the existence of ghosts. They have conducted over 1,500 field investigations at 346 haunted sites in North and Central America and have recorded over 5,200 ghost voices without using white noise. They also have authored the most comprehensive home study courses on ghost hunting and paranormal investigations available to the general public. The International Ghost Hunters Society has members in 90 countries and is one of the largest and oldest ghost research organizations on the internet. Besides holding seminars throughout the United States, they have both been interviewed on 400 radio programs and appeared on over two dozen prime time television programs as well as newspaper articles and magazine articles.   Doctor Dave is also an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and a certified Usui Reiki Master. His wife Doctor Sharon is also an ordained metaphysical minister through the International Metaphysical Ministry. Reverend Dave approaches ghost hunting from a spiritual dimension, while using scientific tools to validated the existence of ghosts.
