A Good Kind of Crazy author, Majken Selinder Nilsson started writing as an escape from a particularly difficult time in her life and discovered she had quite the knack for it!

I wrote the book on a whim during an extremely difficult time in my life. I never anticipated writing a book, but after my husband was laid off from a job that had brought us across the country, and then the struggle to find something comparable, as well as dealing with the struggles of chronic illness, coupled with four children, I needed an escape into a world where I could control the outcomes, because I certainly couldn't control my reality. So, I wrote my first novel in four months, then a second one also in four months, and then worked on getting the first one published, the second one edited, and wrote a third the following year.
