Claire Conner Mork, Author of "Wrapped in the Flag"

Our modern American society is so fractured with violent rhetoric & periodic violent actions against each other.  Many of the older generations remember a time when compromise was not such a dirty word of virtual political surrender to the other side.  Times were more civil decades ago...or were they?

Our guest for Sunday, June 29 is Claire Connner Mork, who wrote the sensational and critically acclaimed book, "Wrapped in the Flag: A Personal History of America's Radical Right."

The truth is history really does repeat itself.  Claire grew up in a household run by two Chicago area organizers of the radically conservative group The John Birch Society.  

They filtered her world view with their own and checked her textbooks to make sure no liberal bias entered her young & powerfully developing mind.  So, in the atmosphere of Cold War Joe McCarthy Communist witch hunts, young Claire Conner found herself at a "safe conservative" school in Dallas, Texas in November of 1963.

The roots of what is happening today can be traced to the history that Ms. Conner Mork experienced firsthand.  I'm intrigued, aren't you?
