For this episode we have two candidates for Congress, followed by a discussion on Religion.

*Our first Congressional candidate is Dr. Brenda Cleary, running in a Democratic primary to replace do-nothing, conservative Tea Party Republican incumbent Rep. George Holding, who was recently caught asleep at the helm of a session of Congress during the Government Shutdown.  She is a lifelong Democrat born in Indiana, having moved to North Carolina to head the North Carolina Center for Nursing 20 years ago.  She moved with her family after obtaining her PhD in Geriatrics/Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Cleary is a breath of fresh air on the subject of health care & would bring her passion for the middle class, the working poor & the health of alll to DC.

You can listen to Dr. Cleary at the top of the 7pm Eastern hour:  http://www.clearyforcongress.com/

*Our 2nd candidate is a passionate Pacific Northwest progressive who is running for Washington's 4th Congressional seat.

Gary Downing echoes Dr. Cleary's call to stand up for the Affordable Care Act.  He poses a very pertinent question on his website:
"Is it wrong to make sure we have a healthy nation? The answer is no."
He also makes a point on immigration reform that there are many folks that have lived in this country as much as 60 years who do not have citizenship.

Gary Downing stands up for the working class, middle class and for the TRUE prosperity of our nation, working together to solve our problems.

Gary is a lifelong resident of the "Tri-Cities" area in Eastern Washington & you can hear him at the midpoint of the 7pm Eastern hour:  http://www.downing4congress.com/
