Jerry Pippin remembers, the man who lived history, from the depression years into World War II, the cold war, and an even colder reception in Washington DC when it became apparent he was a reporter who could not be scared off a story. President Richard Nixon put him on his enemies list but never gave up on the idea of buying him off and becoming ally. It never happened. Daniel Schorr died Friday morning in a DC area hospital after a short illness.
