She is the writer and director of the upcoming film "Letters to Daniel" which is the story of her struggle with bipolar disease from diagnosis to learning to deal with it and finally becoming a best selling author and award winning filmmaker. Her story is both inspirational and dynamic and this script has won numerous awards for its excellent writing.
Along with Ms McCorkle there will be some members of her cast talking with us. Her cast members playing herself and her co-writer of the script and producer are: Megan Jones, playing Amy and Virginia Beld playing Missy. Missy Goodman has been Amy's friend and co-writer for years and she has taken on the role of her caretaker as well.
Amy will talk about the path she took to get her film produced. You won't want to miss this look into the ups and downs of the film industry. In addition, Amy will be talking about her numerous screenplays written both with and without Missy, her films and the film festival circuit she is planning to enter her film into once it is produced as well as all of the awards she has won for film in her career. In this show she interviews people who have gone through mental illness or who are caretakers of people with mental illness. Amy Lee McCorkle is an advocate for people with bipolar and depression as well as a good friend for many years.
