Blue Pride Radio turns the focus on the important issues of substance abuse, alcoholism, sexual compulsion, depression, and the effects that HIV/AIDS has had on the psyche of the LGBT community. The panel discussion will feature Joe Amico, senior consultant/counselor at the Brattleboro Retreat in Vermont. Joe has extensive experience in addressing the counseling needs of LGBT folk of all ages who are living with these issues. In addition, we are delighted that our own resident counselor and Psychiatric Nurse, Mark Hartness, MS, LSPT will be joining in the conversation as well. LGBT people in law enforcement are not immune to falling victim to these issues. In fact, not addressing these issues has often cost us our relationships, our jobs and sometimes our lives.
