Those of us who have been out, open activists since the dawn of our struggle understand the courage it takes to stand up for the rights of LGBT criminal justice professionals. We understand the strength it takes to put on a uniform and speak up for all of us under the glare of a spotlight. Blue Pride Radio is proud to announce that one of our true activist/fighters will be on our next show. I personally salute Officer Mike Carney for his strength during our times of frustration and despair. I salute him for courage in the face of great adversity. I salute him for being a man’s man, always ready to stand up and fight for us. Officer Carney has made two trips to Washington D.C., in uniform, to testify before the senate advocating for fair and equal treatment for LGBT law enforcement professionals. He has some great insights to share and we are honored to have him as a guest.
