Photobucket This weeks show brings us Connor Sauer, who definitely unapologetically lives her bliss. At the young age of 30, in 1981, Connor accomplished a three-month solo trek through India and Nepal, initiating her in ancient spiritual traditions that are at the core of her life work. She has not stopped climbing the summits of the hot topics of today’s changing world. Mother, Grandmother, author, speaker, coach, mentor-guide, and program development specialist, Connor holds National Certification in Mediation and Massage Therapy. In 1989 she founded an Environmental Organization called Clean Air Now while serving on the Governing Council of the Southwest Institute for Woman. In the mid-1990’s Connor was instrumental in creating the Air Quality Forum in Port Angles, WA, which brought State Agencies from Ecology and Health together with private industry and environmental organizations, to address mutual concerns. Connor is the Founder of a woman's rites of passage ceremony, Long Dance, now running for over 20 years in the Pacific Northwest. In 1994, she created a Bosnian Necklace Project that brought hope to women in the Rape Camps of Bosnia. She has been a Master of Ceremonies for AHNA and Keynote for other national conferences. She was selected as the April Moxy Woman 2009 for Women Taking Care of Business Inc., honoring her life and work. Connor has been instrumental in mentoring and coaching women into Leadership consciousness and is a published author in the book Wilderness Therapy for Women, Hawthorn Press 1994, along with many articles in magazines on the green movement, woman’s issues, personal growth and development, and her life living in America’s National Parks. http://www.moxywomen.com/article.php?id=28
