Deardra Shuler with guest co-host Chaka Ngwenya talk with Zimbabwean activists who are protesting the dictatorship of Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe at the the United Nations Assembly in NYC.  We will be talking with Dr. Patson Dzamara, Savanna Madamombe (an organizer), Pastor Evan Mawarire (#This Flag Movement). and Dr. Noah Manyika who is associated with Build Zimbabwe, an organization with a goal to accomplish the unprecedented mobilization and engagement of Zimbabweans and friends of Zimbabwe everywhere in order to build the nation of Zimbabwe. A native of Zimbabwe, Dr. Patson Dzamara is regarded as one of Africa’s foremost leadership authorities.  He is a voice for emancipation, human development and empowerment. A philosopher, leader, motivational speaker, life coach, educator, author, entrepreneur, counselor and philanthropist, Dzamara's mandate is to lead and develop other leaders.

As a rebel leader Robert Mugabe opposed White Minority rule. He was elected Prime Minister in 1980, serving in that office as head of the government until 1987, when he became the country's first executive head of state. He has led the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF) since 1975. As of August 2016, he is the world's oldest and one of the longest serving Head of State. His 36-year rule has been characterized by gross human rights violations; resulting in his joining the world list of dictators.
