There’s a saying in meetings that if you hang around the barbershop, you’re going to get a haircut. Charlie the Barber helped make that saying a literal lifesaver by unknowingly creating a safe space for people in recovery, one haircut at a time. Over the years, his Richmond barbershop changed from a place where no one talked about addiction to a place of connection and acceptance, and for that, so many people in recovery say ?Thanks, Charlie.
