With nearly one million veterans set to transition into civilian life over the next five years, Steve Maieli’s mission and insight will no doubt continue to be of help to countless veterans. In 2008, he founded Transitioning Veteran. Transitioning Veteran.com provides free access for all military veterans and their families looking for simple information on benefits and more. It was born out of his own transition experience from military to the civilian world in 2003. Steve quickly realized he wasn't prepared and resources weren't readily available to tap.  Fueled by frustration over the gap and difficulty in sorting through benefits information, he decided to do something about it -- something that would make a difference for generations of veterans.
