Karen La Rosa is of Sicilian descent and has always been drawn to her heritage. Now, in phase 2 of her life, meaning the kids are grown, she has started a business to share her love and knowledge of the island with people who are interested in discovering, learning and experiencing Sicily. She's chosen to do that in a few ways.  She is acting as an agent and designing travel itineraries for people that will enable them to see the heart of Sicily. She is creating events in and around the NYC area that highlight the traditions, culture, food and wine of the island. She produced a video with her photographs put to traditional music that is for sale on her website and booklets to accompany the events she's done.  The booklets are a compilation of writings by authors, musicians, poets and others who together paint a picture of Sicily’s soul. She educates people about and promotes the sale of Sicilian products and wine available in the U.S. She travels back and forth and is enjoying herself thoroughly.
