Jenifer Mangione Vogt is the founder and editor of two popular blogs for Italian and American culture called Italian New York and Italian South Florida. She’s the daughter of an Italian immigrant father who descends from Calabria and Sicily. Her Nonna and first cousins live in Rome.  She was raised by her non-Italian mother and stepfather in an Italian-American community in Yonkers, N.Y.
