Rory McIlroy Closes Gap on World No 1 Brooks Koepka with WGC HSBC Champions Win

Rory McIlroy is turning 2019 into one of his best-ever seasons after winning his fourth tournament of the year. The four-time Major winner beat Xander Schauffele in a playoff to win his fourth title of the year at the WGC HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China.

And while the win wasn't enough to erase the sizable gap between himself and world No. 1 Brooks Koepka, McIlroy is closing the gap, pulling almost within one point in the Official World Golf Ranking.
