Tom brings a unique perspective that shouldn't be unique: men process emotions, including things like anguish and grief, differently from women, and instead of being shamed for it or told they're doing it wrong, the healing professions and society as a whole should explore how men are different from women and how they deal with and express their emotions, including emotions like anger, grief, and anguish--and how they heal from it.
