Getting in touch with the feminine

Men, you need to get in touch with your feminine side. What this means is, be more compassionate, demonstrate more empathy towards other people, get in touch with your emotions, and generally be a better human being. This is the message we are routinely bludgeoned with, and mostly, although empathy, compassion and self awareness are certainly good things, this message is at it's base, a message of hatred towards men. It assumes that masculinity and compassion, or empathy, or self awareness are alien and contradictory concepts.

On Thursday, AVFM hosts John the Other, Girl Writes What, Typhon Blue and Paul Elam will be running the chainsaw through this normalized message of hared and scorn, and dynamiting whatever is left over. AVFM will be proposing an alternate suggestion, simply that the world, becomes collectively more masculine. By which we mean, more compassionate, and with greater empathy, and justice.
