Meet author Gabriella Kovac. She'll be joining me on the Author Chat show to discuss her new book, Georgina: Holocaust Survivor Stories.

About the book:

December 1944, whilst heavy snows fall over Budapest and soldiers battle for the streets, Georgina, a young Jewish woman, is nearly starving to death with her newborn son.

The battle outside is one of the most savage of the entire war. She
knows that to go into is virtually a death sentence. But she must find food within the next few hours or her baby will certainly die.
For Georgina there is no choice. Alone and completely vulnerable, she heads out into the freezing cold.

About the author:

Gabriella Kovac was born in Hungary, Just after the Second World War had drawn to a close. She lived through the Hungarian uprising against the Communists in 1956, and remembers vividly Russian tanks sitting under her bedroom window. Through the genius of her mother Georgina, their family managed to leave the Communist bloc and come to Australia in 1957. Gabriella is a passionate public speaker, chef (her favourite dish is Hungarian Goulash) and has been very successful in fashion, even authoring the book "Magic Drafting," which can also be found on Amazon. Throughout her life, Gabriella has been inspired by her mother's amazing tenacity, enthusiasm and will to live.
