Meet author Twana Lawler. She'll be my guest on the show to discuss her book, My Life.

About the book and author:

MY LIFE (From Tragedy to Destiny), a contemporary, literary non fiction, a story of Twana Denise Lawler known to some as Niecy, a proud, intelligent woman whom over the years has added poet, playwright and author to her BIO. She has overcome many instances in life and it is told in this book. From losing her father to suicide, teenage pregnancy, sexual assault and much more and with every punch she became stronger. It was not so good in the first half, but the latter is greater.  Twana wrote two plays “Who Did I Marry?” starring Terri Vaughn and Tommy Ford. “God’s Precious Jewels” starring Robin Givens. With the recognition of her gift people wanted her to write for them. She was raising her five grandchildren and living her life. She was not aware of the news to come. Twana shares her hurts and pain and dealing with a chronic illness in MY LIFE. Her faith and love for God got her through. She admits that she questioned God, “Why Me? And His reply was why not you. She now knows things happen for a reason. Writing is her love and desire. Her belief is if one person is touched by her words than she is truly blessed.
