79% of people who are working would like to change jobs or start their own business, but are scared to death to make waves in today’s economy? Many of our adult children, their friends and many of our Baby Boomer friends are facing unemployment, layoffs, foreclosures and medical bills. No wonder their self- confidence stinks! They are anxious about the future. These are smart, educated and hard working people, just like you. They have been loyal, trust worthy and honest employees or business owners. But now are finding themselves nervous, shaky and self-doubting. I know they were feeling full of worry and fear, so I offered them a crash course in Building Self- Confidence. Soon, the word spread and I was getting lots of requests for the information. It seemed like everywhere I looked people were doubting their own abilities and falling into old patterns of negative thought patterns. Are you: • Concerned about what others think • Unsure of yourself • Anxious in social settings • Worried about the future • Afraid for your family • Concerned about your financial future • Nervous about starting something new • Timid and afraid to voice your opinion • Doubtful about your own abilities • Uneasy in your current situation • Apprehensive or fearful that something bad will happen Notice that people who who think and talk about finding a more satisfying career are much more likely to be doing it. This is called top of mind awareness and it moves us out of living in default by focusing on more of what we want in life. The universe rewards action. The minute we make a decision to move forward towards a goal, doors open up, hands are extended and we are guided to those who can help us.
