Host ~ Brenda Johnson: Jesus is our "atonement sacrifce". What relationship does the Garden of Eden have with the Tabernacle and Temple in Jerusalem? Did you know that the Temple and the Garden of Eden are laid out the same? In Eden mankind met with Jehovah in the “cool of the day”. In the Garden they walked and talked with Jehovah. Because of sin Adam and Eve were banned from the Garden and also fellowship with Jehovah. God chose Abraham and his descendants through whom Jehovah would make Himself known to the world.

The Temple was designed like the Garden of Eden to draw all people to Himself. First God instructed Moses to build the Tabernacle so He could travel with "His people." God led them with a “cloud by day” and a “pillar of fire by night” until they came to the land He chose for them. After they settled in the land a Temple was built exactly how He commanded them in the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Numbers).

Through the Temple God became accessible to "his people" and to ALL Nations. “In the last days the mountain of the LORDs temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.” Isaiah 2:2
