Hosted by Susan Puzio: The topic of the show is Gnosticism. When a man calls to to debate Gnostic beliefs he is asked to explain why the early church took issue with this group. The listener explains that the reason was because Gnostics exalted women and let them teach and preach while the Church Fathers were against it. Facts were the status of women was not the core issue debated among heresiologists and apologists of the the day. One of the main points of contention, and there are others, is the nature of God and Jesus. From there a discussion took place about the nature of God. The rest of the hour focuses on the Trinity.
