Host ~ Brenda Johnson: What relationship does the Garden of Eden have with the Temple built by Israel? Did you know that the Temple and the Garden of Eden are laid out the same way? In Eden man had access to God in the “cool of the day” where they walked and talked with Him. Because of Adam and Eve's sin they were banned from the Garden and also access to God. God chose Abraham and his descendants as the people in whom God personally dwelt. They were given responsibility to make Him known to mankind. The Temple was designed like the Garden of Eden and was designed to draw all people to Himself. First God instructed Moses to build a Tabernacle so that God could travel with "His people." God led them with a “cloud by day” and a “pillar of fire by night” until they came to the land He had chosen for them. After they settled in the land a Temple was built exactly how He commanded them in the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Numbers). With the Temple built God became accessible to "his people" and to ALL Nations.

“In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.” Isaiah 2:2
