Ask The Cat Doctor is hosted by Dr. Shelby Neely, feline veterinarian with 20 years of experience.  Dr. Neely's website at www.askthecatdoctor.com was chosen as the Best Cat Health Website in 2012 and features over 1800 pages of cat information.  The radio show airs every Thursday night at 8 pm EST and includes  information about cat health and cat behavior.  Llisteners can also call in with their own cat questions (toll free in the U.S.).

A graduate of The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Neely has been lecturing, writing, editing, and publishing in the computer, music, and veterinary fields for over 30 years.

Recognized nationally by Cat Fancy Magazine as an outstanding veterinarian for her animal rescue work, she was also the first  Veterinarian of the Month by Strictly for Pets national pet newsletter. She currently has articles published in various Cat Fancier newsletters, is a veterinarian spokesperson for SleepyPod and FURminator, Inc.,  is a regular contributor to the Pet Travel Experts Blog, a  founding member of the Nutro Knowledge Network, and a member of the BlogPaws Community. Her newspaper, Mews from The Cat Doctor, is published daily and she also publishes a monthly newsletter for subscribers.

Dr. Neely has been interviewed by numerous newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations. Most recently, she appeared in two segments of The Balancing Act on Lifetime Television and also presented FURminator's products on QVC in July and September 2012.  In December, she also was heard with Tracie Hotchner, Pet Expert, author, and host of the radio shows Cat Chat® and Dog Talk®.
