Join the Ascension Sisters, with host Cece Kellie and whistle blower, Susanne Helene, as they share a brief history of the Downey, CA NASA Boeing site, former home to the space program, a nuclear reactor and a neutron bomb factory, that now houses a large medical complex and movie studio, exposing current employees and patients to nuclear radiation.
We uncover and share the actual papers and testimony from Boeing that allowed the previously designated Superfund site to become upgraded to a Brownfield, allowing private developers to develop the land without remediation or testing. This resulted in the clearing of the land for building, however, not everything (read: nuclear reactor) was removed from the site to ensure a safe environment for the new complex. In essence, this is right out of "Poltergiest" where the dad screams at the developer because his family and life are being destroyed by ghosts, "You left the bodies and you only moved the headstones!"
Boeing's testimony stated that the presence of harmful materials was "so remote," that testing would not actually be required. However, the opening of the medical facility was delayed for months due to unlawful levels of radiation ultimately detected in the drinking water, and employees were "protected" from the water by pieces of tape that were placed over drinking fountains to deter usage.
