Dr. Roslyn Dean is the Community Engagement Manager for Broward County Library in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She supervises adult, youth, learning, and volunteer services, digital initiatives, and outreach for the library system. While she has worked in the library industry for over 16 years, most of that time was spent working on the vendor side of libraries, with the last over two years at Broward County Library. Roslyn is a Florida A&M alumna, holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Management, and will earn her second masters in Information Science from Florida State University, this December. In her time with Broward County Library she has spearheaded initiatives such as the library’s 3D modeling project, scanning African artifacts in the Special Collections, and the Echo Dot language translation program for the library’s awarding winning Project Welcome initiative. Her primary focus is on bringing innovative programs and services with a technology spin, to the world of libraries.
