From the depths of tragedy comes strength, outreach and seeds of change

Seven years ago Reenie Brewer's 15 year-old grandson was cornered, doused with alcohol and set on fire by a group of his school mates; all over a petty dispute. Reenie shares with us how this horrific crime forever changed their lives and the lives of many others. Through the physically and emotionally excruciating months that followed, and the years of healing, we hear of the resilience of the spirit, and how this tragedy has been turned into an outreach about bullying and abuse. Among other avenues, Reenie has created a media platform called 'Reenie's Heart to Heart' that encourages reflection and dialogue with people of all ages; which sheds a light on bullying, abuse and intimidation in the home, school and workplace.
