Normandi Ellis is a spiritualist medium, Akashic records consultant, and the author of 11 books of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Her most recent collection of poems, Words on Water, love poetry steeped in Egyptian goddess stories, was published this month by Finishing Line Press.
Normandi’s nonfiction is also rooted in her studies and travels in Egypt and includes her spiritual classic Awakening Osiris (Red Wheel/Weiser). Her most recent books from Bear & Co. are Invoking the Scribes of Ancient Egypt and Imagining the World into Existence. Quest Books published Dreams of Isis and Feasts of Light: Celebrations for the Seasons of Life. For the last 25 years her essays have appeared in numerous anthologies, magazines, and periodicals, including Watkins Body Mind Spirit, Parabola, SageWoman, the Rosicrucian Digest, Magical Blend and others.
Her recent fictions, Going West and Fresh Fleshed Sisters, were published by Wind Publications. Her collected short stories won the Bumbershoot/Weyerhauser Award for fiction in 1991. She is the recipient of writing fellowships from Breadloaf, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, the Kentucky Foundation for Women, and YMCA Writers Voice.
She is a member of the Indiana Association of Spiritualists, the Association of Women in Mythology and teaches online through the Theosophical Society, the Therapeutic Writing Institute, and in person at Camp Chesterfield. She facilitates spiritual travel through Egypt in conjunction with Shamanic Journeys.
