On gun control I'll talk about the "Battle of Athens Tennesse". The Battle of Athens, Tennessee. In 1946, WWII veterans, returned home to find their local government was as corrupt as can be. The battle hardened veterans resolved to take back their town and ran against the local deputies and corrupt officials. As soon as ballots were cast the corrupt deputies seized the ballot boxes and took them to the jailhouse.

Outraged, these WWII veterans grabbed their weapons, raided a local national guard armory, and up to 2,000 of them surrounded the 55 deputies that confiscated the ballots.

Tyranny, whether local, state, or federal, will always be thwarted by citizens exercising their Constitutional right to bear arms, including arms that could be military in nature, like a semi-automatic rifle.
