Our Guests Dr. Jane Aronson, an internationally- renowned pediatrician specializing in orphaned children and Founder and CEO of the Worldwide Orphans Foundation (WWO), is available for interviews on the Haiti’s orphans and overseas adoption. Since founding WWO, Dr. Aronson has led medical missions to orphanages in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Russia, and Latin America. Leonie M. Hermantin has more than 10 years of grassroots community experience in Miami's Haitian community. She was born in Haiti and migrated to the United States at the age of twelve.Her experience in this country also forged her resolve to focus on the Haitian American community's conditions of adaptation and integration in the United States, Susan Benesch is senior legal advisor to the Center for Justice and Accountability in San Francisco. She has taught human rights and refugee law at Georgetown and American University among others, and has lectured at universities including Virginia, Duke, Princeton, and Yale. She has also worked at Amnesty International, at the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights (now Human Rights First), and at the war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Taina Bien-Aimé is the Executive Director of Equality Now, an international human rights organization that works for the protection of the rights of women and girls. Ms. Bien-Aimé holds a Juris Doctor from NYU School of Law and a Licence in Political Science from the University of Geneva and the Graduate School of International Studies, Switzerland. Johanna Mendelson Forman is a senior associate with Americas Program at CSIS, where she works on renewable energy, the Americas, civil-military relations, and post-conflict reconstruction. A former codirector of the Post-Conflict Reconstruction Project, she has written extensively on security-sector reform in conflict states, economic development in postwar societies, the role of the United Nations in peace operations, and energy security.
