In the last 20 years, tougher laws and sentencing have been enacted to reduce domestic violence, but some say that this isn’t enough. After suffering physical and emotional abuse by her former husband, LaDonna Smith, author of the new book “I Married Satan,” says this country needs a domestic violence offender registry similar to the one for sex offenders. Smith, who later discovered that her former husband was still married, is also advocating the need for an international database of marriages that can be used to verify marital statuses. Would it help you to have greater access to legal information about the person you love? Would it truly reduce or prevent abuse? Smith will be on the show to discuss this and more.
