F4F Radio kicks off a busy September with the first of three shows tonight, when we return to the world of Rizzoli & Isles.  Since the "Rizzles" pairing of Jane and Maura continues to be hugely popular in the lesbian community, I've already hosted two interviews of different Rizzles fanfic authors.  Tonight will be something similar, but something different too.  Returning to the show will be author Adm_Hawthorne, who was a guest author on my second Rizzles show earlier this year (and who just happened to be here a few weeks ago to talk about "Xena: Warrior Princess").  But instead of talking fanfic, she'll be talking about Rizzlescon, the first fan-created convention centered around "Rizzoli & Isles".  Adm_Hawthorne was one of the driving forces behind the convention, which was held in late July in Anaheim, CA.  While Rizzlescon was designed to appeal to all fans of the show, not merely the Jane/Maura fans - well, you can bet the Rizzles fans turned up in droves.  We'll be discussing with her the entire experience of being one of the people in charge of a brand-new con, from the initial steps to the aftermath.  Joining her will be RatherBeRaiding, who also volunteered at the con, but whose own point of view was a little closer to the ground floor.  My co-host for this evening will be SnuffyNYC, who was ALSO a guest author for my second Rizzles show.  While she was sadly unable to attend RizzlesCon, her longtime involvement with the fandom will provide a needed perspective.  UPDATE: with about 10 minutes before the end, Blogtalkradio.com crashed, and my show, along with all others airing at that time, was ended prematurely.  I'm hoping to have everyone back soon to finish our conversation.
