Wednesday night on Alchemist Radio, hosts Mitch Ciccarelli and Bryan Levick talk to five exciting guests in the world of mixed martial arts. The current lineup includes Team Alpha Male head coach/UFC veteran Duane “BANG” Ludwig, UFC flyweight contender and TUF 14 winner John Dodson, UFC featherweight Dustin Poirier, UFC lightweight and TUF 15 finalist Al Iaquinta and BJJ black belt Fred Moncaio!

Ludwig joins us fresh off the heels of UFC Fight Night 26 where one of his premier fighters, Urijah Faber defeated Iuri Alcantara in a thrilling three round battle. Ludwig has done incredible work for Team Alpha Male since becoming the head coach and the camp’s winning streak is looking to continue at UFC 164 as Chad Mendes battles Clay Guida.

Dodson is arguably the most athletically gifted fighter in the flyweight division. Currently ranked third in the division, Dodson gave champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson all he could handle at UFC on FOX 6 in January but ultimately dropped a decision to the champ. Dodson will look to work his way back up the ladder as he squares off with Darrell Montague at UFC 166 in October.

At 24 years of age, Poirier is still considered one of the brightest young stars in the UFC’s featherweight division. His only losses are to elite featherweights Cub Swanson and Chan Sung Jung and to rising lightweight star Danny Castillo. Poirier is looking to make a claim at the top of the division as he battles top ranked Erik Koch at UFC 164.

Speaking of UFC 164, our next guest Al Iaquinta takes on Ryan Couture in hopes of earning his first UFC victory. Iaquinta was a finalist on TUF 15 and one of the best fighters to come out of that season. He was defeated by Michael Chiesa in the finale but make no mistake about it, Iaquinta is a force to be reckoned with at 155 lbs.

Moncaio is a BJJ black belt and undefeated MMA prospect. Pro debut this weekend.
