Dr. McCray has served as the president of the National Black Evangelical Association (NBEA) since 1999. Through Black Light Fellowship, a publishing company founded with his wife Thelma, he has authored many books. Among his many titles are the best-selling The Black Presence in the Bible, and The Black Presence in the Bible and the Table of Nations (both published in 1990); Gospelizers! Terrorized and Intensified (2002); and his recent short story of change, adversity, courage, and hope, Black Cherry Rising (2008).
