In this podcast we will hear from Susie as she discusses the circumstances that led her to assist her son, Alex in meeting his birth mother for the first time when he was only 12 years old. What led to this decision? Did everyone agree that this was in Alex's best interest? Atlhough conventional wisdom in adoption recommends that adoptees wait until they are 18 years old to meet their birth parents when there has not been a previous relationship, Susie believed that Alex needed answers to questions that only his birth mother could answer. Listen in to hear about their meeting, as well as the questions that Alex asked his birth mother.
