I am having another chance to chat to Carole Estby Dagg, whose show I had to cancell owing to my illness last Saturday. So this Sunday it is finally "A Book and a Chat with Carole Estby Dagg". Carole Estby Dagg nickname ‘Slasher’ for her feat of paring a 400-page manuscript to a spare 227 wuill be along to chat about her book "The Year We Were Famous" . Based on the true story of the author’s great aunt and great grandmother, this is a fast-paced historical fiction adventure that sets the drama of Around the World in 80 Days against an American backdrop of the suffragist movement, the 1896 presidential campaign, and the changing perception of “a woman’s place” in society. Add to that Carole's own adventures tip-toeing through King Tug’s tomb, sand-boarded the dunes of western Australia, ridden a donkey up the cliffs of Santorini, snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, and smelled the penguins in the Falkland Islands, and you'll see it promises to be a great show.
