My guest on a book and a chat is Lloyd Kaneko. While driving through the skid row of downtown Los Angeles after school one afternoon during in my early twenties (c. 1970-73), Lloyd was deeply moved by all the homeless people living in cardboard boxes, pushing shopping carts and sleeping on the sidewalks. The result is his novel Kami Jin
