Originally from Reunion Island and rocked by Jamaican and Creole music since his childhood, it is natural for him to learn bass music in the 1990s to form a group of family members. , "Family band", original by its composition because the drummer Antony (Tony) was only 7 years old at the time and the synth Virginie (Nini) 12 years old (his brother and his sister).
Helped by musicians who succeeded each other to accompany the group on guitar, keyboard, and percussion.

The priorities of the studies of the smallest, the job and the family life of the greatest have overcome the momentum of the group, which will keep an excellent memory and a baggage that Jean has been able to use to continue to compose and write under the artist he became "Jean de la Family" in dedication to the group that built it.

His inspirations come from Life, Love, Respect from others, and human fraternity in all its value. . . because we live the reality with a spiritual philosophy. JEANDELAFAMILY and JEAN DREAD. New works have been realized; a forthcoming Bob Marley tribute album is expected.

The project starts out with “Solution”. This is an urgent anthem with engaging soundscape and the ensemble well organized in creating unique Roots vibes. A grassroots feel to Jean’s vox that’s spot on.
