Hailing from the most enviable and historic musical city in the world dubbed "Hitsville USA," this self-taught musician began his musical career on the trumpet at the age of 12. As his love of music began to develop, Terry quickly added piano, and rhythm guitar to his skill set. The last instrument learned was bass guitar, but it quickly became his instrument of choice. His early influences were George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Gino Vanelli, Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire.

Terry Tuck began his career at 17 years old as a Studio Musician at Motown USA, playing for up and coming talent.

There he met and befriended Motown recording engineer John Lewis. John Lewis later became the owner of "The Sound Suite" in Detroit and began training Terry to become a recording engineer.

This presented Terry with additional opportunities to work as bassist and engineer with fellow musicians/artists/ and producers such as: Mattie Moss Clark, Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark, The Clark Sisters, Thomas A. Dorsey, Reverend Nicks and the Saint James Choir, Thomas Whitfield. Additionally Chapter 8 (featuring Anita Baker), The Dramatics, Don Davis (The Matrix), Blackfoot, arrangers Johnny Allen and Dave J. Van De Pitte, musician and current president of Blue Note records Don Was, band members Sir Harry Bowens and Hillard "Sweet Pea" Atkinson (Was Not Was), Kashif Saleem, session guitarist Bruce Nazarian, and Eddie Kendricks (Temptations). Terry is currently in the studio finishing the follow-up CD "String Theory" which includes some very special guest. You can find this and other releases on iTunes, cdbaby, amazon.com facebook and twitter.
