Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Diane Carter began singing at a very early age.  By the age of 9, Diane realized that singing gave her the chance to really express herself and bring enjoyment to others, which is the goal that she set out to achieve.

 

Diane has performed on televison, records, movies, various night clubs, and live theater productions as well as commercials throughout the world.

 

Diane has toured across Europe and the U.S as an opening act for such renown acts as Ashford & Simpson, The O'Jays, The Whispers, Bette Midler, Phyllis Hyman, Millie Jackson, and Patrice Rushen, to name a few...

 

Diane also sang with Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Teena Marie, Rick James, Barry White, Eric Carmen, she was one of the Funkadelic "Brides of Funkinstein", and with Ray Charles as one of his "Raylettes".  Her list of supporting artists are too many to mention here.

 

Diane's artistic credentials are strong.  However, her live appearances and overall energy on stage is the foundation of her career.  With the current strenghth of female artist, Diane's "Funkphisticated" sound and phenomenal vocal range has allowed her to mesmerize audiences across the globe, through her God-Given talent " Song ". 

 

Diane Carter's group, "The Diane Carter Band" is a collection of professional musicians that have a varied background from Studio Musicians, World Tours, Gospel, Concerts, and playing for various renown artists and groups.
